Houki is a revision app for families, published by Y FOUNDERS and available on iOS, Android and the web (houki.app). You can delete your Houki account and the data linked to it at any time: directly in the app, on the website or by email.
1. Who publishes Houki
2. Delete your account in the app (iOS and Android)
Sign in with the account you want to delete, then:
- Open Houki and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Account settings.
- Open the Danger zone tab.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm with Delete.
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.
3. Delete your account on the web
- Sign in on houki.app, then open Account settings (houki.app/app/account/settings).
- Open the Danger zone tab and click Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then click Delete.
4. Request deletion by email (without the app)
If you can no longer use the app, email contact@houki.app from the email address of your Houki account, with the subject “Delete my Houki account”. If the request comes from another address, we will ask you to confirm it from the account's address. We delete the account and reply within one month at the latest.
5. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we erase:
- your account: email address, sign-in details and preferences;
- all family profiles;
- all courses, flashcards, quizzes and exercises, with their progress and activity history;
- the photos, PDFs, audio recordings and other files you imported;
- the subscription information stored in your Houki account.
Some data may remain for a limited time in temporary technical backups, as described in our privacy policy (section 6, Data Retention).
6. What is kept, and for how long
After deletion, here is what may still exist, and where:
- Invoices and transactions: we no longer keep them in our database. Payment records are kept by the payment service you used (Apple, Google Play or Stripe) and by our subscription management tool (RevenueCat), in line with their legal obligations, as stated in our privacy policy.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
- Data held by our providers (audience measurement, AI, payment): it is not erased automatically on their side. To request its deletion, write to contact@houki.app.
- Anonymized statistics: they can no longer identify you and are not deleted.
7. Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. To stop payments, cancel it where you subscribed:
- Google Play: in the Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions (Google Play help).
- App Store: in your iPhone or iPad Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions (Apple help).
- Web (card payment): in Houki, open Account settings, the Subscription tab, then Manage my subscription, before you delete your account. Account already deleted? Email contact@houki.app.
After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
